Fifty Years Of Qatar's Independence Limited Edition Wall Clock (1995)

"This artwork is part of an art installation, called "1971-2021:Fifty years since Qatar's independence",
which consists of 51 limited edition analog wall clocks representing fifty years of independence.
Each of the fifty-one clocks is showing the map of Qatar with an engraved pattern taken from the local Qatari traditional architecture, conjoined with a circular composition of the Qatari national anthem written in Arabic Kufic script. Each clock is composed of revolving hands without a typical 12- hours clock face, as it contains no numbers to indicate the time.
the clock hands only read the national anthem every second, minute or hour of the day, as an expression of the pride and patriotism of the generations of their homeland."
